Travel & Transport Information

Parking at the venue is free of charge but has limited spaces, therefore we strongly recommend that you consider car sharing with colleagues if possible, use the Park and Ride services as illustrated on the location map ;

TRAVEL BY CAR:

From junction 30 on the M5 take the A379 for Exeter and Dawlish: Sandy Park is the first exit left off the dual carriageway.

TRAVEL BY RAIL:

Nearest rail station is Exeter Digby Sowton - 15 minutes walk (0.7 miles approx). Exeter Digby Sowton is on the main Exeter - Exmouth line. Exeter St Davids is 4 miles away and you can catch a train from there to Exeter Digby Sowton. As you walk out of the Station, you turn left and walk along the road until you get to a blue sign saying “Sandy Park Rugby Stadium” directing you to turn left; halfway along this path, you turn right and walk across the big white bridge.

TRAVEL BY BUS  

Service 52 A,B or C (Exeter to Sidmouth). You alight at the Bishops Court bus stop and walk across the road up Apple Lane. At the end of Apple Lane, there is a pathway signposted “Sandy Park Rugby Stadium”; at the top of the path turn left and walk across the big white bridge.

  • There is a Park and Ride service (PR4) in Sidmouth Road. If you take this service from the City Centre, you can then following the pedestrian directions above for the Service 52 as this park and ride service is located at Bishops Court.

 

  • There is also a bus service from the R D & E Hospital to the Digby Park & Ride (PR3). This service is located by Exeter Digby Sowton Railway Station – see above for pedestrian directions.

 

  • Alternatively, you can catch the H2 service from the City Centre; alight at the Tescos roundabout (near Pizza Hut). You then walk left into Digby Drive and follow this road down to Digby Sowton Railway Station.-

Sandy Park is on a main cycle route and can be easily reached from all directions. There are cycle racks on site where you can leave your bike.
